The Founders’ Society honors alumni, parents, and friends who choose to support North Yarmouth Academy through a planned or legacy gift. These forward-thinking commitments help ensure that NYA’s mission, values, and programs continue to flourish for generations.
Ways to Create Your Legacy
- Bequest (Gift by Will or Trust) Include NYA in your will or revocable living trust by designating a gift of cash, securities, real estate, or other assets.
- Charitable Gift Annuity Receive fixed payments for life in exchange for a gift of cash or securities. Gift annuities are simple to establish and backed by the general resources of the Academy.
- Charitable Remainder Unitrust Provide income for life (or a set number of years) while making a significant future gift to NYA. Payments may increase over time, offering potential protection against inflation.
- Pooled Income Fund Make a gift that is invested alongside others. You receive income for life based on your share of the fund’s earnings.
- IRA Charitable Rollover If you are age 72 or older, you may direct a gift from your IRA to NYA, potentially satisfying your required minimum distribution and reducing taxable income.
- Retirement Plan or Life Insurance Beneficiary Name NYA as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy.
- Donor-Advised Fund Designate NYA as an irrevocable beneficiary of your Donor-Advised Fund and recommend how and when your gift will support the Academy.
