Growing Minds at NYA

At every stage, NYA’s academic program is intentionally designed to inspire students and meet their evolving needs. Beginning in the earliest years, children learn to think independently, take ownership of their learning, and develop the habits that fuel future success. Small class sizes and strong student–teacher relationships create a supportive environment where every student is seen, known, and challenged.

Our expansive 20+ acre campus in Yarmouth, Maine, provides exceptional resources, including dedicated music and science buildings and fully equipped art studios, all enriching hands-on learning and creative exploration.

I love the maturity that the kids learn because of the respect they receive... My children have explored completely new avenues and excelled in areas they would otherwise never have considered because of this support.

— T. MacCarthy

Across history, English, mathematics, science, modern and classical languages, and the visual and performing arts, students sharpen their analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and creative expression. Whether exploring Montessori foundations, diving into AP coursework, or pursuing independent studies and diplomas with distinction, NYA students are empowered to inquire, engage, question, analyze, empathize, and discern.
