NYA Camp Water Bottles 2019

Leadership & Life Skills Camps

Counselor In Training Program

Leadership camps are designed to give campers more of a sense of responsibility, self-confidence and a chance to practice their leadership skills. All programs are based on NYA’s beautiful campus and are instructed by staff with expertise and certifications in the area.

Full Day sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the options of FREE Before Care from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and FREE After Care from 3:00-5:30 p.m.

Campers should come each day with a lunch, two snacks, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Because we are so active each day, please be sure campers dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather, (see Family Handbook for detailed packing list).

Before & After Care is a well-supervised and loosely structured time outside of the normal camp program time. With a camp session registration, this is offered FREE of charge as a courtesy to our campers and their families. Before Care runs from 7:30-8:30 a.m. and After Care runs from 3:00-5:30 p.m. Before and After Care take place in the Middle School.

Choose to sign your camper up for more than one week of camp and take advantage of our 10% multi-session discount!

Don’t miss our EARLY BIRD discount! Register by April 15, 2020 to save $25 per registration.

Please note that an $50 non-refundable deposit per camper, per session is due at the time of registration. This deposit is not refunded in the event of cancellation.

Weekly Cost: $150 Early Bird Price / $175 Regular Price

If your camper loves to be around younger children and has shown an interest in babysitting, this is the perfect camp! It’s designed for campers who are craving more responsibility and are ready to begin the transition from camper to camp staff member. Campers can choose to attend for only one week, a few weeks, or join us for the entire summer! They will spend their days working with campers in our Super Summer and Panther Cub camps, practicing their skills and gaining experience. CIT is a great opportunity for campers to build their skills and work toward a future caring for children! Campers must hold a babysitting certification from a nationally recognized babysitting program (like the Red Cross or Safe Sitter). NYA will offer a Safe Sitter Certification class on Saturday, April 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. You can register for this class through camp registration.
