Leadership camps are designed to give campers more of a sense of responsibility, self-confidence, and a chance to practice their leadership skills. All programs are based on NYA’s beautiful campus and are instructed by staff with expertise and certifications in the area.

Full Day sessions run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with the option of After Care from 3:00-5:30 p.m. for and additional $50. You must sign up for After Care for during registration for each session needed.

Campers should come each day with a lunch, two snacks, comfortable shoes, sunscreen, and a water bottle. Because we are so active each day, please be sure campers dress comfortably and appropriately for the weather, (see Family Handbook for detailed packing list).

Choose to sign your camper up for more than one week of camp and take advantage of our 10% multi-session discount!

If your camper loves to be around younger children and has shown an interest in babysitting, this is the perfect camp! It’s designed for campers who are craving more responsibility and are ready to begin the transition from camper to camp staff member. Campers can choose to attend for only one week, a few weeks, or join us for the entire summer! They will spend their days working with campers in our Super Summer and Panther Cub camps, practicing their skills, and gaining experience. CIT is a great opportunity for campers to build their skills and work toward a future caring for children! Campers must hold a babysitting certification from a nationally recognized babysitting program to serve as a CIT. Certification will need to be documented in order to attend. Campers interested in Circus CIT opportunities should contact Blain Tully at btully@gmail.com. Contact Mary at mgoodrich@nya.org for more information.
