Black Friday Coed Hockey Clinic to Benefit Make-A-Wish

While mom and dad shop for great Black Friday deals, the kids can lace ‘em up for the afternoon at NYA’s Black (and Orange) Friday Hockey Clinic.  The North Yarmouth Academy (NYA) Make-A-Wish club will be holding a coed hockey clinic at Travis Roy Ice Arena on Friday, November 25 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. NYA Black (and Orange) Friday Hockey Clinic is open to skaters of all skill levels ages 8-13, skates and hockey gear are required.  From 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., members of NYA boys and girls senior varsity ice hockey teams will teach the kids some of the finer points of the game. Participants will learn stick, skating, and situational skills that will give them the extra edge in their youth league. Refreshments will be served after the skate with NYA boys varsity coach Tyler Walsh. The cost is $50 per skater. 100% of the proceeds go to the Maine Chapter of Make-A-Wish. The Maine Chapter of Make-a-Wish was established in 1992 and has granted more than 1,300 wishes for children with life threatening medical conditions in the state.
