NYA Drama Presents Spring Performances

April 25, 2008, Yarmouth, Maine: The North Yarmouth Academy (NYA) Upper School will present a student production of "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde and "Laundry and Bourbon" by James McLure on Friday, May 2 and Saturday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. at NYA in Safford Center (148 Main Street, Yarmouth).

Kate Sharp '09 (Harpswell), is directing "Laundry and Bourbon," a one-act play about three women living in the south. "The Importance of Being Earnest," Wilde's witty comic masterpiece of social satire, has a double cast for the two female leads, Cecily Cardew and Gwendolyn Fairfax. On May 2, those roles will be played by Marley Witham '09 (Arrowsic) and Ashleigh Taylor '09 (Topsham) respectively; on May 3, by Haley Bennett '09 (Cumberland Foreside) and Amy Miller '08 (Portland) respectively.
